The best way to start over

I’d like to start over with the content on the inspirationtochange.wordpress.com (keeping the subscribers) and then domain map to karenzeigler.com (which is currently a separate blog karenzeigler.wordpress.com) while eliminating the domain mapping to inspirationtochange.org. I’m not sure what is the easiest way to do this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.
Alternatively, we can empty the whole blog for you, but that will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files.

A few more questions before I move forward. I was also considering starting over by just creating a self-hosted wordpress.org blog.
1. Is that a sister company?
2. Do you think a novice like myself could handle it?
3. Is the support there as wonderful as it is here?
4. If I created a self-hosted site would I then be able to UN-link my domain karenzeigler.com from my blog here at wordpress.com and link to my blog at wordpress.org?Thanks for all you’re help. Links to articles with pro’s & con’s or information useful to what I’m trying to do would be greatly appreciated. Just looking to make the switch as educated as possible and not make a huge stupid mistake. :)

Ok – so I did some research and think I should stay with wordpress.com for now. So is there anyway to unpublish the blog while I revamp everything? I.e. so no one sees it while it’s under construction. And once
inspirationtochange.wordpress.com is revamped how do I change the mapping of karenzeigler.com to it? -
If you want to temporarily hide your blog, please use privacy option so only you and logged-in members of the blog can view it.

1. Take down karenzeigler.wordpress.com and move the domain mapping of karenzeigler.com to my inspirationtochange.wordpress.com blog
2. you can empty the content of the current inspirationtochange.wordpress.com/inspirationtochange.org so that I can start over fresh. I have set the blog to private until I have completed the changes.
3. I would like to let the the domain upgrade of inspirationtochange.org expire as I will not be using it any more.
4. I would like to pay for the domain upgrade for karenzeigler.com but wasn’t sure if I should wait until you have moved it to map to the inspirationtochange.wordpress.com blog??Anything else I need to do?

I have moved your domain mapping as requested. Note that it is going to expire on December 14, 2012. If you don’t want the mapping to expire, please renew it under Store > My Upgrades.
What do you mean by taking down karenzeigler.wordpress.com? I see that you changed the blog to private already. You might also be interested in our Site Redirect to direct visitors to a new domain.

Could you please confirm that you’d like to empty all content (including posts, pages, media, and comments) from inspirationtochange.wordpress.com and that you understand that this action cannot be reversed?

That domain is set to expire on December 14, 2012. Note that if you let it expire, anyone who had previously linked to any page on inspirationtochange.org will have a broken link and won’t be able to find your site. Once you let your domain expire, there is no guarantee that you’ll be able to re-register it in the future. Another option for you is to set karenzeigler.com as the primary domain under Store > Domains, and keep inspirationtochange.org. This way, people will be able to find you at both addresses while the main address of your site will be shown as karenzeigler.com.

Replied above, you can renew any upgrades under Store > My Upgrades.

1. Thanks for changing the mapping of karenzeigler.com to my inspirationtochange.wordpress.org blog. This will allow me to keep my followers while starting over with a more focused approach to blogging. I have renewed the domain mapping for karenzeigler.com
2. I have deleted the content of Inspiration to Change. Felt good to hit the delete button.
3. Since all the pages/posts of what was inspirationtochange have been deleted any links to the site will be invalid anyway. Also I know long wish to have that identification so I will let the domain inspirationtochange.org expire on the 14th.
4. Already renewed upgrade for karenzeigler.com -
