The best way to use SkyDrive links in posts?
-
Hello! I’m trying to figure out how to share links to files stored on SkyDrive, not images or Office files, but e.g. zip file. I tried to copy/paste ’embed’ code from SkyDrive, but not 100% sure that it’s permanent. I figured out that something like this works:
https://skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Folder%20Name/FileName.zip?cid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Maybe there is better way to allow start downloading with single click w/o redirecting to SkyDrive page? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need to read this and follow the links in it, as I suspect you probably are asking about a self-hosted blog:

No, it’s hosted here on wordpress.com. Skydrive generates embed code wrapped in iframe, which is stripped out when inserted to a post. Guess there is one more solution: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/shortcode-for-skydrive-embed?replies=2#post-875866.

Here is the code that works and which gets stripped: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
