The blog name I want is taken, but it isnt being used.

I’m starting a new blog. When I tried to enter the name (lifeafterlawschool.wordpress.com), I was told the name was already in use. When I checked out the blog with the same name, it doesn’t appear to be in use. That is, nothing has been posted to it. I left a comment for the owner asking if they will be posting and if not, whether I could use the name. I haven’t heard back. Is there any chance that WordPress would allow me to take the name?
