The “blog post” element filter is not working properly
-
Hello dear community,
I have a strange problem, so I’m wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and managed to solve it.
I’m working in the “Dos” theme, but the same thing happens in the “Twenty Twenty-Two” theme
TLDR;
I want when category “news” is clicked in the menu to display only the posts of the “news” category using the “Blog posts” element because it has the settings I need. The “Query Loop” element and its filter work normally, but do not have the same default options as the “Blog posts” elementFull story:
I added “category link” to the menuWhen I edit the default page of that category and put a “query loop”, everything works as the element dictates.
However, the settings of that element do not suit me and I want to put the “Blog posts” element. When I put that element, it basically works with the default settings and shows all the posts.
However, when I try to filter posts by category name only (the same category that is in the menu), the specified posts do not appear. When I set another category, for example Others, then I see those (others) posts.
So, in other words:
Menu: home page – news – others
Home page is “page”, and “news” and “others” are categories
I want when clicked on “page” to show only posts of category “page”
When I try to edit a page of category “page”:
The query loop element works normally, but I don’t want it.
The “Blog posts” element works if you don’t add a filter of the category of posts that you want to display (“page filter”).
For example, if we add a filter here that we only want to show posts from the “others” category, it will work.But if we add a filter of the same category (“page”), the posts will not be displayed.
