The “blog posts” block does not update properly

  Hello,

  On my site, the home page contains different blocks. The first is a block called “blog articles” which lists my last 8 published articles regardless of the category. When I installed the block, it showed me the last 8 articles, no problem.

  I’ve just published an article. The problem is that although it’s published, it doesn’t appear in my “blog posts” block. After much trial and error, I guessed something. The article only appears if another article is published afterwards… In short, to see my last published article appear in my blog, I have to publish another one (which doesn’t appear, since I have to publish one after it for it to appear, etc.).

  I find that not only is this a huge problem for the management of the site, but beyond the fact that it’s a bug that the developers need to resolve, I’d like to know if you could help me to keep both this widget and also make my articles appear correctly.

  Or, il n’apparaît pas dans la page d’accueil du blog…

  However, it doesn’t appear on the blog’s home page…

  Hey there,

  Many thanks for reaching out!

  It looks like you’ve stumbled across a bug that’s on our radar, and I’ve added this thread to the internal report we have open.

  To explain, when a blog post block specifically gets added to a template, the first post will be omitted, in some themes, but not all.

  As a workaround you may wish to look at using a query loop block as detailed here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/query-loop-block/

  I hope this helps and I appreciate your patience while we work on a fix with that.

  Thank you for your reply. I’ve just realized that the bug also affects the Carroussel articles.
  I sincerely hope you’ll resolve it quickly, as it’s preventing the proper use of these great tools.
