The blogname.wordpress.com appears on Google, not the bought domain
-
Hi,
When I look up the high school newspaper I’m running “The Rhino Press” with a few key words, my original wordpress.com URL is the one that shows up on the Google page, instead of the domain I bought http://www.rhinopress.org.
I’m not sure why it occurs, but I’d like it to be the official site URL instead. I also set up the site on Google Analytics (which I just figured doesn’t work with WordPress.com) and all also.Thank you very much!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Jessica, to alert Google that you’ve changed your domain name, you’ll need to first setup Google Webmaster tools, and then complete a Change of Address form.
Instructions for setting up Webmaster Tools are at http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/, and instructions for the Change of Address are at https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/83106?hl=en.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there’s anything else I can help with.

Oh yeah I actually did all of that, and I put the status as “resolved” earlier because I re-checked and it worked.
I apologize, and thank you!

No problem :) I’m glad to hear that it all worked out. Please let me know if you need anything in the future.
