The case of the missing followers
-
Thanks to a link from a very popular website there has been a tidal wave of visitors to my site – 800 yesterday. (That’s a l-o-t for this site.)
26 of them signed up to follow the blog via email, and WordPress sent me emails to that effect.
However, only 5 of these followers are showing up in the site’s ‘Followers’ list.
Where have the other 21 disappeared to?
Thanks for your help.

Another 3 notifications have come from WP via email – none show up on the Followers list. So there are now 24 missing followers. Wherefore art thou Sherlock?

Oh my goodness. I didn’t realise there was a difference between types of followers – i.e. wordpress.com & ’email only’.
Thanks for your fast and helpful response TT. Even after all these years, this old girl’s still got lots to learn about the amazing WP universe.
Smiles.
