The content of my post has disappeared
-
Hi WordPress
I uploaded a new post today (approx 9hours ago) and it worked fine.
I just went in to add some categories and then I clicked update.
However all the content of my post is gone and I’m only left with the title.
I updated my blog theme/template yesterday, as well as updating all of my posts to give them a category, which all seemed to go smoothly.
I haven’t deleted it and my first post is still showing. Is there a way to recover the missing text and photos?
Please help!
Thanks,
NarelleThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve emailed the support team.
I ended up just re-doing it – via the update button (luckily I draft mine in Word first as I don’t think I could have re-written it).
I’ll post the answer from support when they get back to me as I don’t want to make the same mistake again.

I worked out how to fix it. In edit mode there is an a hyperlink on the word “published” just above the preview button.
If you click that link a section expands that shows (in my case) “4 revisions.” Clicking that hyperlink will take you to a revisions screen and you should be able to find your previous version there and reinstate it.

The Admin login link for that site is
http://madeupofmoments.com/wp-admin/
The saved draft posts are found at
http://madeupofmoments.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=postThe saved draft pages are found at
http://madeupofmoments.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=pageStaff are working on improving post and page revisions. The most recent 25 revisions are available for posts and pages.
If you cannot restore from your browser, or locate a revision, or restore from Trash then the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.
re: recovering a lost post or page
Please go to https://wordpress.com/post with the same browser and see if it offers to restore a post. If a restore button appears, that means a local copy was saved in your browser and you may be able to recover it.If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Pages > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needed.
