First page of site ‘Welcome’ leads to ‘contents’ page. This page lists all files on the site.
Contents page has disappeared and I cannot replace it. Have tried insert files and media etc. but only the title of the file ‘contents’ appears, then have to click to open the actual contents file.
How can I restore the site to it’s original condition please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
If you recently had a published page with the slug “contents” you may be able to retrieve it from trash. Go to All Pages/Pages > Trash (https://australiantelegraph.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=page), where you will be able to restore the page if it is found there.

I’m not sure what you mean by that. “Contents” is a file? Where can it be found?

@ timethief,
Howdy! I didn’t find that page, instead following what the OP said led to a “Please Enter” link in the static front page, which opens to the 404 page https://australiantelegraph.wordpress.com/contents/. That’s as far as I looked.
@ ronmcm113,
I see that now the #801 page contains a Contents link that opens a docx file.
