The customize option hangs after I deleted the about page
-
In the customize menu option I opted for having the first page be a static page. I chose the about page. Since then I removed the about page. Now the customize menu options hangs whenever I try to access it. Clearly an error, right?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
If you are, please do these:
(1) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html(2) Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
(3) Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
(4) Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?By default the front page of your blog displays all posts. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.
Choice 1 static front page
Choice 2 running page for all posts on front page
Which do you choose? It’s one or the other. If you choose a static front page then you have to create two pages as I said above. After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

I don’t understand your reply. I wrote I have chosen a static page. You then go on to ask me if I have chosen a static or running page…. It is as if you did not read my post, or at least did not understand it. Let me totally disregard your two big posts, that seem to talk about other things, and rephrase my problem somewhat: I chose a static page. The static page I chose was the about page. That worked fine. I e if I visited my page, the about page was automatically displayed. Then, I deleted the about page, After that I can not use the customize menu any longer, instead it hangs.
