  The customizer seems to be malfunctioning on some themes. See print-screen here:

  I was cropping a wide header to the proper size stated of 1000 x 220 in the customizer.

  On crop, the customizer squeezed the big header into a tiny space and warped it. I don’t know where else to send a bug notice.

  The required header image dimensions for that theme are 951 by 160 (width, height). https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/piano-black/ Is that the size of the image you uploaded or not ?
