The Daily Post: possible translation of this feature into Spanish

    Good afternoon.

    I am an enthusiast user of WP and have engaged in some proposed community activities, such as The Daily Post, where I happen to post from time to time. I am so delighted with this feature that I would like to see it implemented in Spanish (the very same Daily Post or something similar, mabye once a week or so, in order to attract interested users).

    And the important thing: as I am a translator, I propose myself to give a helping hand with this. I already have previous experience in voluntary community work (I served as a Moderator at http://www.ProZ.com 2007-2009). What do you say?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your kind offer and for being part of The Daily Post community. At this point our site isn’t really designed to show posts in multiple languages, but everyone is able, of course, to participate in prompts and challenges and link to their posts in whatever language they publish in.

    If it’s of any interest, we also list blogging events in languages other than English, so if you ever decide to start a non-English community event around any of our features, we’d be delighted to include it in our listings.

    Hi Ben.

    Thank you so much for popping up as regards this issue.

    Maybe I did not express myself properly. OK, it is true that some websites are crowdsource-translated into several different languages. And it is also true that every big company+website has its own policies regarding translation.

    I have no pretentions that The Daily Post should “function” in many languages (although this could be nice). But, it wouldn’t be bad if there existed something similar to The Daily Post in Spanish. You name it, maybe a simpler forum; but the potential to grow is there, as Spanish is one of the most widespread languages in the world.

    Thanks for pointing to the list of blogging events, I will follow it. But, please, take into account that, if “anything” similar to The Daily Post needs some help to make it come true in Spanish, well, here I am to help.
