The date block: there is a large rectangle. how do I size this down?

The date is at the top left of the rectangle. The rest is space and I would like to know how to make the rectangle smaller so that it does not take up so much of the page. The date font and size is fine.
    Thanks – paul

The theme you are using, AutoFocus, is made specifically for photoblogging, and the rectangle you mentioned is designed to show images.

I tried a few alternatives but I can’t find anything that does not screw up the design. Decreasing the height will get the text cut off on some places (e.g. the Dec 20 post).

Different themes are made for different purposes. If you do not plan to display photos on that rectangle, unfortunately it is not easy to tweak the layout to match your need without ruining the design.
