  I’m wondering how I can delete the default picture of the blonde-haired girl at the top left corner of the page. I’m also having trouble with seeing the profile picture I added. It continues to show the default ‘shadow of a person’ profile picture.

  That picture is a Blavatar, which you can change by following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/blavatars/

  I’m also having trouble with seeing the profile picture I added.

  I suggest you go to your Gravatar emails page here: http://en.gravatar.com/emails/ and check if you have set the profile picture for the email address corresponding to psychologicalmusings account.
