    I am studying possibilities of sharing articles without being searchable, even by keywords in its title

    Why is another (different from mentioned in post) article

    to which I had never given a link to anybody, “Pending Review” , never published has 14 views on 08/20/2011(created on 08/19/2011, 23:08) while I share its link only now (08/21):

    It looks like the views are being generated by yourself, and folks who followed the link from your forum post.

    Since these are both public posts, I’ve removed the links from both.

    it should not be possibly have counted by my viewing because I remember that I checked to ignore in statistics my own views though cannot now find where?

    He-he, this is the main point of my initial confusion and in understanding the whole issue.

    I’ve never published them. Immediately, even before saving as draft or pending preview, I had changed the publication date to future +3 months inNovember:

    Schedule for: Nov, 20, 2011

    .

    And I have never pressed the button “Publish”!!!

    When are password protected article
    (like this my Protected: Lies, Big Lies and Statistics of KeyCAPTCHA Service)
    views counted (added) to stats:
    –

    • when someone entered to body having provided password?

      • or

    • when someone clicked on its link or linked title or link to it from search engine also (without being able to read article but only title)?

    The main question I couldn’t get while experimenting heavily:
    What’s the difference between Draft vs Pending Preview (by “Save Draft” vs. “Save as Pending”)?

    My initial intention was to share it privately (without even revealing or being searched by keycaptcha keyword in the title) but the title was immediately indexed by google and I still am confused how I should have possibly prevented it

    And what’s for are the different (multiple) produced links to the same article?

    Sorry for multiple questions but they really one and the same I am after

    Yes, but those review links are essentially public and can be viewed by anyone who has the link. By posting them on the public forum, you allowed anyone who saw the link to view the post, thus generating the views.
