  I don’t understand why my domain has wordpress behind it

  Hi there,

  All WordPress.com free plan users will have WordPress.com in their domain name.

  If you want to get rid of it, then you have to upgrade your plan to Personal, Premium or Business Plan of WordPress.com

  Each plan gives one custom domain credit which will not have “wordpress.com” in it and you can choose domain of your choice provided it has not been already taken.
