The domain name renewal

    We have purchased the domain http://www.onthetrailof.com many years ago and we have been continuously renewing it every year without fail. However in the previous year the automatic renewal did not happen to my credit card as the central bank’s policy has changed for recurring payments in India. As such the automatic payment did not go through and now the domain has become dormant. Please help us renew the domain name and you can charge the newly added credit card to the payment methods.

    Hi there,

    That domain expired on 17 April and has already been removed from our system. It is currently in redemption with our registrar.

    It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption, on top of the regular renewal fee. I’m sending you a link via email that you can use to pay. Please let us know here once you’ve completed payment, and we can get the recovery process started for you.

    We can’t automatically charge the new card you’ve added – that card is only available for you to use for future purchases, but until you actually make a purchase there’s no billing agreement in place that would allow us to charge the card automatically :)
