    An error I get after inputting the transfer authorization code in OpenSRS

    Could not issue transfer: Unable to process transfer for whyfeedthecows.com: Object status prohibits operation. –The domain you are trying to transfer to A Small Orange LLC, an authorized Tucows service provider, may be locked at the current registrar WILD WEST DOMAINS, LLC. Please contact the current registrar WILD WEST DOMAINS, LLC to verify it and try again.

    So whats up with this?

    If you registered your domain with WordPress.com less than 60 days ago, ICANN, that great big domain umbrella organization, will block the transfer until that time limit is up. It has nothing to do with WPcom. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

    If you’ve passed the 60 days and if you’ve taken the steps mentioned in that support doc I’ve linked to, please post back here and someone will mark this for Staff assistance.
