The dreaded reappearing "Please Verify Your Email Address" message

  I’ve verified my email twice via the received confirmation email but I still keep seeing the following message:

  Please Verify Your Email Address
  
  In order to publish posts, please verify your email address by clicking the link in the confirmation email that we sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff).
  
  Resend confirmation email | Send to another email address

  I’ve seen a bunch of forum messages related to similar account verification problems going back many months so it appears that this is a pesky ongoing problem that requires the intervention of a staff member for each occurrence. Is there a story behind what’s causing this and an upcoming fix that will free staff members from having to keep dealing with this? Just wondering… (inquiring minds want to know).

  There’s not actually a single problem causing trouble with verifying email addresses. Different issues can pop up from time to time, and our team works to resolve the underlying issues while we also help out anyone who got caught when those issues popped up. We’re happy to keep helping anyone who runs into trouble with this. :)

  Hi, I am experiencing the same problem. Please fix it for me too! I keep getting the same pop-up message saying the same thing:

  @rachelmcr I can receive an email in my gmail alright, I received an email from wordpress telling me to click a button or copy and paste a url to my address bar and after clicking the button and also copy pasting the given url to activate my account, I was redirected to a webpage saying that my wordpress is now activated but after that, I am still unable to publish my fist blog because I STILL NEED TO VERIFY MY EMAIL ADDRESS which is very frustrating.
