The "Edit" link at the bottom of each post no longer works. What has happened?

  The “Edit” link normally displayed at the bottom of each Post, no longer links to an edit file for that post. This used to work fine, but the link at the bottom of each post leads nowhere useful in this new system. How can I restore the access to the full edit page for the post from the clickable link at the bottom of the post?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Unfortunately, other than editing the page and putting it in manually, you cannot.

  To get to the Classic Editor, you have to click to WP-admin, then to Posts, then to Edit the particular post. It’s a real pain.
