The ellipses menu (the three vertical dots) by the pages does not include ‘Edit’ in the options.

I am trying to edit existing pages on my free WordPress.com site. I’m logged in as the Admin-level user and for some reason, I don’t see the edit option (several options are missing, actually) in the ellipses menu by the pages. A WP support article on the subject says I should see all these options https://www.screencast.com/t/2x4IhfCK, but all I see are these https://www.screencast.com/t/vA6fXK28pkc Any ideas why and how I can fix this so I can edit my page titles? Thanks!

The site I need help with is [visible only to staff] (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  • Hi there,

This might happen when a Page is assigned a special ‘role’. (In my example below, it is the “Your latest posts”) For example, I am logged in with my admin account and when I click on the three dots next to my Blog page it gives me the same things you got but also, there is a little information ‘i’ next to it which shows this:

The content of your latest posts page is automatically generated and cannot be edited.

Is it possible the same happened for you?
