The email form my migrated domain doesn't work

    After migrating my domain, my email doesn’t work.

    I migrated my domain from register.com (hosted by bluehost.com) to wordpress. I added the new DNS info to Bluehost and the domain gets redirected to wordpress.com. However, my email is now not working. Would you PLEASE let me know if your working to upgrade the MX records or if I need to do something on my end.

    Hi there,

    Now that you’ve pointed your domain’s nameservers over towards WordPress.com’s servers, you’ll need to enter your mail provider’s Mail Exchange (MX) records in to the DNS interface in order to make your email work.

    To edit your DNS, you will need to log in to your account’s dashboard and then go to Store >> Domains >> Edit DNS for your domain. In this window, you will enter the MX records which you will need to get from you mail provider. There are sample MX records below the window to give you an idea of the format.

    If you need any help formatting the records, respond to this message with what your mail provider sends you and I’ll be happy to let you know the correct settings!

    Thanks for your response. What we have from Bluehost MX section is this:

    Priority, 0
    Host record, @
    Points to artwroksstudio.org
    TTL, 14400

    Is that the MX infor needed? Could you help me word out the configuration to add in to the DNS?

    Bluehost told us to create an A record at wordpress for mail.artworksstuio.org and point it to 69.89.31.237. Then we should set the MX record priority 0 pinting to mail.artworksstudio.org.

    Can you help us word and add the code in our DNS records?

    Bluehost told us to type this into the DNS configuration window:

    MX 0 mail.artworksstudio.org.
    A mail 69.89.31.237

    Please let us know on your end if that’s correct and will make the email work.

    Yep! What you just posted will work perfectly! Go ahead and enter that and within 1 to 48 hours your email should start working just fine! :)

    it seems that our emails that contain our names such as (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff) are working now…
    still waiting to see if the (email visible only to moderators and staff) will comply! that is the most important email and we have been down for 2 days!!
