the email on forms widget does not work

    I have set up a contact me page where visitors will enter their name, email etc and then press send, this should send an email to me letting me know that I have been contacted, but nothing happens. It says error transferring data, try again later.
    I have tried using contact form 7 and the same thing happens when you press send button it just sits there with a spinning icon, nothing is sent. I canf find anything in the configuration that is wrong

    Hi there,

    It sounds like you’re using a self-hosted WordPress.org site. These are the forums for WordPress.com and thus not the best forum for your question (see here for the difference between the two).

    It sounds like perhaps something may be wrong with the mail client on your host’s server. Try posting to this forum with information on the host you’re using, which plugins you’re trying (such as contact form 7), who your mail client is your receiving from, and configuration setup you have for the plugin.
