The export tool is failing. I get an empty XML file at the end of the process.
-
I used the Export option in the dashboard screen of my WordPress account (ccscreen.wordpress.com). It takes about 30 seconds and downloads an XML file. The file has Zero bytes. I open it and is is empty (as I expected).
I have tried this several times on different machines (Mac & PC), OS (Windows 8.1 and OSX Yosemite), networks and browsers (Chrome and Safari).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Alan,
I can help with this. Can you confirm the site you’re trying to export is http://ccscreen.wordpress.com/? If so, I would be happy to run the export for you, and email you the file.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hi,
That would be great! The site you suggest is correct. Is there a way to get the images, PDFs etc?
The email address is: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Thanks!

Hi Alan,
Media is exported as attachments to posts and pages. So, once you import your XML file into your new site, it will pull those images from your WordPress.com site into your WordPress.org media library.
They do not download as separate files, however.
Keep an eye out for a private email from me. I’ll send you your export!
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
