The Facebook connection could not be made in Publicize

  Hi,
  I can’t connect to my Facebook page for Publicize. I followed the instructions and x’d it out from my fb apps page but that didn’t solve it.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Are you already logged into your Facebook page before you try to connect it here?

  Hi,
  I tried it both ways. I also tried x’g out the app in my fb app settings to disconnect it and then reconnect it and nada.

  I’ve got 2 error messages. The one in Publicize says “The Facebook connection could not be made” and on my dashboard it says “There was a problem connecting to Facebook to create an authorized connection. You need to grant WordPress.com permission to publish to Facebook on your behalf.”

  Thanks for clarifying! Could you link me to the Facebook page you’re trying to connect? Also, is WordPress currently listed under your App Settings here?

  Yes, WP is currently listed under my App Settings. That’s what I mean when I say I tried connecting and disconnecting via the “x” in the corner as per the tech forum instructions.

  I want to connect my blog to my TheHouseFixx page which is accessed thru my profile Cynthia Dewick. The problem is that I can’t even get FB to connect AT ALL so it’s not that I can get on there and just can’t connect to the right page, it’s that I can’t get on AT ALL.

  The widgits that allow my users/likes to be seen are all just fine. It’s just Publicize that seems to be having a hard time. No problem getting LinkedIn or Twitter set up.

  Thanks for clarifying (and sorry for making your repeat yourself). Could you send over a link to your Facebook page? Also, what happens when you disconnect via the X on Facebook? Does it get removed correctly from Facebook or do you receive an error there as well? When you try reconnect, are you logged into Facebook?
