The falling snow feature

That’s too bad. I just wanted to voice my opinion, too, as I liked the feature. I’ve had a WP blog for almost 10 years now. I appreciate that it’s free although I do pay for extra space. Thank you.

Dear WordPress,
So much that I appreciate about WordPress. Thank you for it, and for the enjoyment it adds to my blogging experiences!
I did want to tell you that I’m bummed about the missing snowfall this year though. It was such a sweet and fun way to “holiday-ize” our blogs.
I hope you’ll consider bringing it back next year!

-
I realized i couldn’t turn on the snow either and just found out why from here. Bring it back please!
-
Staff quote: “However, for WordPress.com sites the reason is simply that our developers have been extremely busy with a number of large projects the past few months and we were unable to get the falling snow options set up for WordPress.com sites this year.”
Is that the real reason? …. Because evidently the devs were not too busy to make the snow fall on the paid accounts.

I too will join the chorus in voicing my disappointment at the absence of the falling snow. It seems that WordPress has moved quite far from the original community oriented blogging platform that originally drew me here. The sudden cancellation of the extremely popular photo challenge and now this, makes me wonder why I should stay with WordPress as it is becoming clear that unless you are a business – or move up to the business plan – you are not really wanted on the voyage anymore! Sad, because I do like WordPress.

Is this feature/plugin still free? I want this feature if possible. It makes it so festive. I loved it.
-
@mabelamber the CSS-only option was a fix someone came up with. It’s not the same snow-falling feature we’ve had in the past, which needed updates.

I switched out the snowflake in example for another snowflake image I chose.
I have alternate images for other seasons/ holidays I also collected/ resized. You can see it here:
-
P.S. Also – I tried to incorporate the round “particle” snow image that was more like the image last year.. but it looked odd. Too round, and you couldn’t tell what it was. It was distracting.

Yeah that’s what I want. How do I go about getting it(steps)? What’s the cost(Is it free or not)? I just love this feature.
-
How do I get the snow feature and the features you’re talking about. What. Sorry this sounds the same but forgot to ask about the other features too. Any help is appreciated.
-
I had help from a whole host of Happiness Engineers! They helped me place the CSS code on my site properly. (In fact, they did it – then I can switch out little images that I like for falling *anything* on there for whatever season/ holiday.
I changed the original snow image to one I found and then resized 20 x 20 pixels.

The only thing Carla is that if you try to read your blog or my blog on a mobile device the snow makes the site jump so I removed it from my blog. But it looks great on yours from my Mac.

I just checked my blog on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It’s viewing perfectly.
What mobile device do you have? It could be that it needs a software update in your settings.
