The first bit of text is missing from posts

When I publish a post, the first line of text behaves oddly. It shows up in Firefox and Chrome, but doesn’t show up on the main page in Safari on my phone, but DOES show up on the post’s individual URS in Safari. It doesn’t show up at all in Safari on my Macs. Any thoughts?

The mobile ready theme is a default theme and a completely different theme that you do not need to enable, if your theme is listed as a responsive layout theme here https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/
The mobile default theme is provided for those who run older themes that aren’t the gold standard which is responsive layout.
A responsive layout theme adapts to different screen sizes so that your website will work (and be optimized for) iPhones, iPads, Android and other mobile devices. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.
When we use a responsive theme we disable the mobile theme. Go to >Dashboard > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

Thanks for taking a look. I’ve got the mobile theme disabled, as it’s a bit too basic for me. When I ENABLE the mobile theme, no problem with the first line of text vanishing. Still, the mobile theme isn’t what I want, so it’s not really a fix. Thank you again for the attention and the request for further help.

I see what you mean, the top line of styled text is missing. I looked into this and it’s a known bug with the Libretto theme — our theme developers are currently working on a fix.

You’re definitely not crazy :) We’re working on it at the moment but I’m afraid I can’t give you an exact timescale for when a fix will be ready. It’s work in progress though.

We’ve tracked down the cause of this odd problem, and have deployed a fix – the first line of text should now be displaying as expected in Safari.
