The full impact on changing themes
-
Is it true that time spent on all settings/formatting etc. will be affected if you change your theme?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Perhaps. It depends on the customizations you have done and I can’t provide an answer without knowing which theme you are switching from and what customizing you have done on that theme and which theme you are switching to.

Ugh…that’s what I was afraid of! I recently read something that associates my current theme (Spectrum) with malware & don’t really know what to do. On one hand, I want to switch for obvious reasons, but on the other hate the possibility of losing what I’ve worked so hard to create

There is no malware in the theme itself. I you have readers who are using IE browsers they need to read this > How do I get those annoying security warnings to go away?
-
I looked at your blog and aside form the fact you are into creating colored fonts by using the HTML editor there is not theme customization on your blog. You can switch themes very eaisly by hoing here > Apearance > Themes and selecting and activating a theme. Then go here Appearnce > Widgets and drag any widgets we used on the last theme out of he Inactive Wigets box and drop them into place. This takes only minutes to do.

I will read the link but it was me who read this (using Google Chrome) by simply clicking on the developer’s name. My anti virus alerted me…

Oh, cool! I thought what I had been doing already was considered customizing within the theme. Thank you for that clarification >insert slight tap on wrist here< good to know!
And yes, WordPress should be deemed a trusted site : )
