The great picture robbery?
-
I was looking for some of my older blog posts.
And there I see, several pics are not shown in the post.
I searched for them in the library.

I do not know how to help you with this. When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you.
How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

We don’t delete media or other content, unless you elect to do so.
I suspect that there’s something on your end keeping those thumbnails from displaying properly. Can you try a different browser, or clear your cache/cookies?
https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/You should also try clicking on, and inserting, one of those images regardless. As a say, I suspect the issue may be with the display of the thumbnail but not the actual image itself.

Sure, CHROME is not the best browser for using the blog.
In other browsers the pictures will appear in the blog post.
But no browser can show them in the preview as asked in the link above.
I have to click the german “Anhang”- Site, click again and than they appear.By the way, is “clearing your cache” not a relict from times, when 8 types where a simple standard on low performing systems?
Thanks so far. -
Chrome should work just fine. As I mention, it seems like a browser-related issue, so you should try clearing your cache and cookies: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
It’s not really a “relic”. It can still be the source of such issues as you describe.
