The Hermes Theme: Center the Site Title
-
Hi! I would like to center the site title in The Hermes Theme to the middle. Currently, it is on the left side. Is there a way I can achieve this by using CSS?
Thanks in advance!

Akeila, go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS. to center the site title. The menu and social/search stuff will drop below the title.
#masthead .site-branding.pull-left { float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 100%; border: none !important; } -
Thank you so much!!!!
Can I pull the site title (The Style Testament) to the center? It’s still on the left side.
Thanks again!

Oops, I’m sorry, I seemed to have missed copying one of the rule. Add this as well.
#masthead .site-branding .site-title { text-align: center; } -
No problem! Thank you for providing this. I also have a tagline, but I don’t think the theme I have supports it. Is there rule that will allow the tagline to show under the title (in smaller font)? The tagline would be below the site title and above the main and social menus.
Thanks again for your help!

You are in luck on the tagline.
#masthead .site-branding .site-description { display: block; text-align: center; }On some themes, the tagline is not just hidden, but is actually not there in the HTML. We lucked out.
