The 'Insert into post" icon has no arrow but is rotating

  I can’t insert the image into the post. The ‘Insert into post’ icon has is rotating instead of showing an arrow. Thus, I can’t click on it. The problem only surface last week. I am using Chrome.

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry for the trouble you’re having inserting images. Do you have any extensions installed in your Chrome browser? If so, can you please try temporarily disabling them to see if the “Insert into post” icon works for you? Chrome has instructions for that here: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/187443?hl=en

  If that resolves the problem, you can try turning on your extensions one-by-one to see which one is causing that problem in your browser. If the problem is still there when all of your extensions are disabled, please let me know and I can keep investigating this for you.

  Hi Rachel,

  The problem returned again. I have cleared all the extentions in my Chrome but I still cannot click on the “Insert” button at the media page. Can you please advise?

  Hi Vicky,

  No, don’t disable Javascript — that needs to be enabled for everything to work. Can you also double check to make sure that no new extensions have been enabled in your browser?

  Once you’ve checked that, can you make a screenshot of what you see when you try to click the “Insert” button? You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or you can use an online service like Snaggy. That will help me see what’s going on there so I can keep troubleshooting the issue with you.

  Dear Rachel,
  Thanks for your help. I have no idea what’s going on. I did a test again and the insert function is ok for the moment. Thus I can’t send a screen shot of the hanging circle when I position my cursor at the ‘Insert into Post’ button. Should it return again, I shall try as you have advised.
