The insert more tag.
-
Hi, I’ve started creating a WordPress blog from last week so quite new. I noticed that my posts were quite long and every time the user had to scroll through a lot of content so i wanted to add the more tag but unfortunately not able to do so. I followed the instructions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/ but everytime i click the insert more button in the visual mode and then i change to text i see the <!–more–> line but not able to do so while viewing the blog can anyone explain and how i add the more tag to already written posts?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Alternatively you can switch to using a theme that automatically displays front page excerpts. This is a list of active themes on WordPress.com that use the excerpt instead of full post content. Here are the themes that do provide that feature > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/theme-with-automatic-excerpts?replies=13#post-1396410
