The items that appear on my website do not appear in my dashboard

  I am very confused and frustrated. The posts, pages, header, and pictures that are on my website do not appear in my dashboard. The only items in my dashboard are materials from 2012, but there are items on my site that were done in 2013. Any guidance on this is appreciated.
