The Journalist theme issues

@Vivian
Although you pointed out that there are no timestamps on comments, I just noticed that there are timestamps on the comments. But I’m not impressed with the appearance of the blockquotes at all. I’m only getting half of the quotation marks. Is this the same on your blog too? Check this out please.

Yeah, I saw the timestamp on comments. Blockquotes in a <b>post</b> look fine, as do those in the sidebar. What you are seeing in the comments looks like a bug.

No problem. I think you should check this out. There does not seem to be a left vertical line in the original theme http://themes.wordpress.net/?s=journalist
-
Darn. I guess the picture they have in the original post is just wrong, then. Too bad – I really liked the left vertical line, since it makes the blog title stand out more. (Guess they need to change the picture.)
-
I think you’re right. A vertical line on the left would make the blog title stand out more. And a customized header would do the same … sigh .
-
I’m seeing the “next page” / “previous page” links not loading intermittently…anyone else getting that?
-
I haven’t noticed that but then I haven’t been on watch for it either. Now I will watch. Thanks. :)

Well, the left vertical line is a no-go, as is HTML in the widget titles, per an email I received a bit ago. Still hoping that they will change the date format to PHP so that we can force a timestamp on the posts.
-
The timestamp would be good. I sent in a support regarding the quotation marks in comments (only half display).
-
I sent in the same thing. They said they were looking at it.
Now, if we all request the PHP format in the date format, we can get the timestamp.
-
I just discovered that the blockquotes problem appears also on the main page and not just the comments. Apparently, if the quote is less than 2 lines, it cuts it off. I sent in feedback on this.
-
Thanks for updating me. I haven’t sent in a support ticket AKA feedback on this as I’ve been just too busy.
-
OOPS! I should have been more clear. I did send in an email with reagrd to only half of the quote marks appearing on comments. I was not aware that this is the same situation with regard to post entries of less than 2 lines.

Just got an email that the quote marks are fixed for all browsers except IE5 and IE6. So I’m marking this thread resolved.
