The left "thing" in my blog

Hi, I like very much WordPress. The best blog system in the world after searching myself for the most clever blog system, but there is now something new I dislike very much and that I really don’t understand the use of it: This column appearing on the left of my blog after I publish a new article…

Can someone explain me what is the real use of this column appearing on the left ? It is very strange because WordPress has always worked very well for me since many years and now, after thinking a little bit more, I am believing that WorPress will be so complicate in the future that it will be not possible anymore to install WordPress system in my own website server. This is a real shame.

Can someone help me to understand ? Also I think it is maybe a bad idea to make WordPress too complicate or too technical because if I think this way, I will go straight to Google’s blog which is automatic and gives me all the service I need.

But I don’t want to be a Google’s client. I don’t want to be a Google’s slave. I like independence and I like the style of WordPress and the possibility for me to create my own design with CSS and to create my own website with a personalized blog that will look like my website.

I can write html, JavaScript and CSS but I am no good for PHP. That’s also why I like very much WordPress.

    Regards !

I think you might be referring to “get instant feedback” and if so you can disable it. > Dashboard > Users > Personal Settings http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/12/12/get-instant-feedback-when-you-publish/
