The LIKE button

Recently I have been unable to LIKE posts I read from the page where the post appears. If I hit LIKE another page opens briefly before immediately closing. I’m an old man, to slow to catch the url of the page that only flashes briefly on my screen.I

In order for me to LIKE a page I meet return to my reader and select LIKE there. Inconvenient in the event that there are multiple posts beneath a single writer’s heading and the LIKE option is removed.
    Any ideas, guys?

    Hi there, two questions,

    1. Which browser and version are you using?
    2. Does the WordPress.com site you are trying to leave a Like on have a custom address or is it using a .wordpress.com address?

As a starter, try logging out of WordPress.com, delete your browser’s cache and cookies (which will also log you out of every other site you are logged into) and then log back in. Alternately, you can try with a Private browsing window after you’ve logged into your WordPress.com account. Make sure that 3rd party cookies and javascript are enabled in your browser. Let us know how that goes.

Hey justjennifer. Thanks for the quick response. The problem occurs only with my Kindle. I am using the default Silk Browser. It occurs on both custom url sites and .wotdpress.com sites, that doesn’t seem to matter.

Good point though. I know the problem did not used to be a problem with “Silk”. I’ll try firefox. That does not exhibit the issue on my laptop. I’ll keep you in the loop!

    Thanks again.

Looks as though Amazon insists on Silk. I tried firefox, edge, and chrome on this kindle (kindle fire 10). All options say “not compatible”.

Thanks for your help, though. 😀

Thanks for letting us know. You’re welcome. At least you can Like in the Reader.
