  The “Like” button does not appear. It should according to: http://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/

  Support for self-hosted WordPress.org blogs like the one you mentioned is done at http://wordpress.org/support/

  To clear things up, note that WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities and support is done separately.

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  The Like button is a feature of blogs hosted here at WordPress.com.

  Howdy,

  I got to this item from the support link that you provided. Interestingly, I had installed Jetpack and their help brought me here as well.

  The Like button you’re referring to is only available on WordPress.com blogs. It’s not available on self-hosted WordPress.org blogs and not part of Jetpack yet.
