The link from my book cover to Amazon doesn’t work.

    I am trying to link my book cover to its page on Amazon. This link works everywhere else except on my blog. I have successfully linked covers to Amazon before, but for some reason, this one always says ‘site not found.’ I have a deadline for this post and could really use some help. I have looked through many of the support pages and find all the instructions lead to other subjects until I spend days trying to find what I need. What am I doing wrong?

    Sorry, everyone! I am confused by this process. I didn’t realize that houston weaver had replied to me. How would I have known this? Do I need to check the forums every day? So sorry to be so stupid.

    I see that you have posted without the link. Are you willing to try to add the link into your post now?

    You might want to read the steps from that page because their images help clarify.

    You already have your post published with your image.

    1. Go to a post or page editing screen.

    2. Add an image to the post or page using the Image Block.
    [You have already done this.]

    3. Click on the image and select the link icon.

    4. Add your Amazon link to where it says “Paste URL or type to search”.

    5. Once you’ve configured your link, you can hit the apply button to assign the link to the image.

    I carefully read and took notes on all the support pages.

    At first, I couldn’t get anything to happen, at all. I clicked all over the place and never saw any of the screens that were in the support boxes. Then I tried Classic Editor. The Amazon link was already in the Paste URL box, so I hit Apply, but that went to “site not found.” So I went back, deleted the link, put it in again, and hit Apply. It seems to be working for now. I guess I was posting in an outdated form and should have changed to Classic Editor a long time ago. Thank you, houstonweaver!

    I don’t know how to reach themagicrobot, but thank you, as well. Not sure why my Amazon page would have two numbers, but I have copied that one for future reference.

    You can check the option below the box where you post in the forums with checkbox option to “Notify me of follow-up replies via email”.

    Another way you can follow the topics you posted and the replies that have come in by coming to the forums. On the upper right corner of the page is a
    Welcome janetesh and the janetesh is a link to your forum activity and lists the topics you have started and the replies you have gotten so far. (I didn’t realize that for the longest time when I first started using the forums.)

    It is recommended on the forums that you stick to one topic posting instead of making multiple posts on the same topic. This allows you and the volunteers and staff to more easily see if an issue has been resolved and helps focus the troubleshooting.

    Sorry we didn’t get it sorted before you first went live with your post, but so glad it is working now.
