The little ‘About’ text in my side column?
-
Currently, it has the heading ‘About’, followed by ‘Just another WordPress.com weblog’. I tried to change this, assuming that the default ‘About’ page on my dashboard was connected to the About blurb on my blog, now my dashboard tells me I have edited ‘About’, but I see no changes to my page.

Go to Dashboard > Presentation > Widgets > Text 1. Then change the text there. I think that will work.

thank you! let’s see…when I go to widgets, I get two boxes with default sidebars inside of them, followed by lots of widgets I can add in to customize. Below that, there are three options asking me how many categories, rss feeds, and text boxes I want, but only dropdown menus, no place to edit.
-
In order to edit a widget you first have to drag it from the area with lots of widgets to one of the sidebars, then you have to click on the little square icon in the right corner of the widget.
Don’t forget to save when you are finished! -
