    Hi @whatkatydidnext51,

    Resonar is designed to have a large custom header that acts as a background image and adapts to the width of the screen it’s being viewed on. In order for the background image to take up 100% of the available width on devices of all sizes while still retaining the quality of the image, the theme may indeed by cropped at certain points.

    With the above considered, custom headers that work best in this type of theme are more flexible, decorative or abstract, so they can handle this sort of cropping.

    If you wish to use an image in the header that can’t tolerate any cropping, you could consider uploading a logo via the Site Identity panel of the WordPress.com Customizer. Logos are not cropped at all.

    Let me know if that helps to explain the reasoning behind your image being cropped or if you have further questions.

    I can see you have Rowling activated on your site. The theme supports featured images, which you can upload to individual posts and will display alongside them on your site’s front page.
