The Morning After Theme Help
-
I am using this theme “the morning after” and have some queries related to it:
1) On the homepage there are three columns options but when I go to individual post page there are only 2 columns choice. Will I be able to change this option ( on main page) from 2 to 3 columns now or after I upgrade to self hosted site?
2) When I go to individual posts, I don’t get option for “justify” for contents to make them in a smaller or justified paragraph. This “justify”option is not there? Due this option not being there my posts are looking a bit ugly.
3) When I click on the subscribe button, I am not getting options for email, instead I am getting a html page. How can I make the changes so that readers can subscribe to it?
Thanks in advance.

1) The three columns include two right-hand sidebars. The secondary sidebar only appears on the homepage. The one or two column options you refer to at the post editor are, I presume, the “Screen Options” for your dashboard/post editor arrangement.
2) When I go to individual posts, I don’t get option for “justify” for contents to make them in a smaller or justified paragraph. This “justify”option is not there? Due this option not being there my posts are looking a bit ugly.
2) See the Visual Editor support page. There’s a toolbar toggle which will display a second row of icons. Justify is the third icon in the second row.
3) When I click on the subscribe button, I am not getting options for email, instead I am getting a html page. How can I make the changes so that readers can subscribe to it?
3) See the Follow Blog Widget support page. If you are already a follower of your own blog/website, it may tell you that. Followers and non-followers will not see the same thing. Also there are different optional text boxes in the widget aimed at WordPress.com users and non-WordPress.com users.

Be aware that the theme is unusual in design. Also be aware that you cannot compel a theme to function in any way it is not designed to function in. The way the theme is designed to function is found here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/themorningafter/
But the best guide to the theme is here http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/06/02/the-morning-after/re: justifying text (alignment icons)
We cannot edit themes or templates on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. It’s not possible to change the way your themes is designed to align text without the Custom Design upgrade. However, in some themes the default text is justified, so you could consider switching to a different theme.
Also note that if accessibility issues are not priorities that you set over and above aesthetics then you need to think again. I’m visually challenged and I find left aligned text to be more readable. Justifying text creates “holes” in text that reduce the flow of readability thereby reducing accessibility. And, center alignment of text is extremely annoying to those with vision issues.
