The most recent post isn't appearing on the page first
-
I want my posts to be visible as most recent first, but an older one keeps populating the main page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Remove the sticky post designation from the post that appears on top.
See this support doc for creating a sticky post https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php
*Replace the NAME_OF_BLOG with the actual name of your site.
Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.
If you have created sticky posts read this support doc and edit them https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#go-back-and-edit-posts to remove that designation https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
If you have published posts previously you can edit them. https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#go-back-and-edit-posts
If those do not correct the issue type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. Hi!
In addition to the @timethief’s solution, you can also check by clicking on
Go to My Sites > Themes > Customize > Static Front Page. Under Front page displays, ‘Your latest post’ has been selected or not. If not then please do so. That will make the recent posts you post to appear first. Thanks!
