The multi file uploader is not working on Internet Explorer 9
-
When using Internet Explorer 9, when adding a new file to the Media Library, the Select files button is displaying but when I click on it nothing happens. I can use the browser upload as an alternative method but this allows only one file at a time to be uploaded. The same problem is occurring on Internet Explorer 8, which I realise is an outdated browser.
The functionality is working on Chrome.
Is there a problem using this upload method on Internet Explorer? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It looks like this is an issue with IE9. We’ve received several other reports here:
We’re still looking into a fix. Could you try updating to IE10?
-
Hi Jeremey, good to hear from you again. Updating to IE10 isn’t really an option for the context it’s being used in as IE9 is the Corporate browser rolled out through Citrix. I’m not affected as I have Chrome on my own PC at work but most of the users in the company can only access stuff through Citrix and are therefore confined to IE9. IE9 will continue as the corporate browser until at least 2015.
Apologies that I didn’t pick up on the existing thread, looking at the content of this, it appears to be affecting more than just IE9? Is there any prospect of a resolution?John

Hey John,
The vast majority of cases all appear to be coming from IE9 as far as I can see. From the reports, upgrading to a different version has worked so it looks like this is version-based. We’re definitely working on a resolution for this. I’ll keep you updated!

Hey John,
I believe this should have been fixed yesterday. Can you give it a try and let me know if you’re still having trouble on your side?

Hi Jeremey, indeed it is, thanks a lot. On a separate but kind of related matter (you can tell me to go away and open another ticket!) are you aware of any problem with IE9 and WordPress when url is 195 characters or longer, i.e.

which is exactly 195 characters in length won’t open in IE9 but no problem in Chrome or Safari while

which is 194 chars long will open in IE9.
The users got it on another site, the above is just a site I use for testing stuff.
I get the same issue on a WordPress.org site which I have created for testing stuff.I’m just asking in case you have come across it. Thanks for your help on this one.

Hi @sivadnhoj,
I am not aware of an issue like that. Can you open a new thread as it’s unrelated to this one? We’ll take a look!
