The multi-site dilema

I have a full wordpress site at http://www.tedpenner.com and have avoided multi-sites because I didn’t like having multiple places to maintain and multiple plugin lists to deal with.

I’m not sure if this was the right approach or not but it feels good to be done with multi-sites.

What I don’t have now is the ability to have multiple headers or nav bars without significant changes.

For instance, the site at http://www.tedpenner.com uses one header style with navigation and http://www.tedpenner.com/marketcoding which can be accessed also by the url http://www.marketcoding.com uses an entirely different header style.

Since I have done very little of the development, I’m even more in the dark.

I’m I headed down the wrong road in trying to keep it all under one roof? This seems feasible to me.

What I would like to be able to do and still can’t are threefold.
    1. Have multiple headers that I could choose from for a page. I should be able to drop any kind of file or groups of files into it and manage it easily.
    2. Have multiple nav bars in just the same way.
    3. Place pictures outside the content area.

    Assistance is greatly appreciated.

That site is NOT a free hosted WordPress.com blog and we do not provide support for it here. You are posting to the wrong support forum. We provide support ONLY for free hosted WordPress.com blogs and that’s not one of them.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different log-ins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
