The name for my blog changed and I would like to change it back. How do I do this?

  I wanted to open a premium account and when I did it associated with the wrong blog so I cancelled the premium upgrade. When I did this it changed the name of my blog and I would like to get the old name back. How do I do this? It was bogtrotter.wordpress.com and now it’s robfurey.wordpress.com

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Rob,

  I checked the domain bogtrotter.wordpress.com, but that site address was deleted quite awhile ago (doesn’t correspond with the Premium bundle trial on robfurey.wordpress.com). Did you previously own the site bogtrotter.wordpress.com and then delete it? It was owned by a different username, but I’m wondering if you have other usernames at WordPress.com.

  Once we clarify your relationship with bogtrotter.wordpress.com, I’ll be able to better understand what may have happened!

  Right now my address is robfurey.wordpress.com and my blog is named bogtrotter. I think I may have screwed up what I thought I screwed up. I’m sorry I wasted your time but thank you for replying.

  Is there any way I can grab bogtrotter and make it my address without losing content?

  If I understand correctly, you’re trying to change the address robfurey.wordpress.com to bogtrotter.wordpress.com. Correct?

  In order to do that, we would need to do the following:

  1. We would need a request from the current owner of bogtrotter.wordpress.com indicating they would like to transfer the site to your account (robfurey).

  2. After we’ve moved the blog, we could export robfurey.wordpress.com and then import the content into bogtrotter.wordpress.com.

  That way, you would have bogtrotter.wordpress.com without losing content. Do you have contact with or remember the login credentials for the account that owns bogtrotter.wordpress.com currently?
