The New Dashboard is HORRIBLE
-
im getting these script errors whenever i edit categories, and whenever i save it completely changes the look of my blog post.. and on top of it it’s slow as hell.. this is NOT a good change, i want the original back.
-
I really, really don’t like the look and feel of the new dashboard:
text size
color scheme
layoutIt hurts my eyes (no, seriously — the old dashboard layout was soothing and well-organized, and I find the new color scheme much more difficult to read). Would it be possible to enable an ‘opt out’ feature for the new layout?

pizzadiavola – You can switch the color scheme back to the classic by going to users > my profile and selecting “Classic” admin color scheme and then clicking “update profile.”
-
the original was faster, the original didnt change my font sizes or the look of my blog post, the original didnt give me popup script errors.
this new dashboard is going to hurt my viewership if this isint fixed soon.

Ok, people.. It takes a little while to get used to… I hated it when I first saw it too.. But now it’s not as bad. I would still like to have the old one back though….
-
^it may work fine and dandy for you but i cannot edit ANYTHING and whenever i do i get those script pop-ups, and if i do edit my blog post it comepletely changes the font sizes of my blog! this is not good, it may work for you but it’s giving me horrible issues.
-
>>>this is what happens when i try to do ANYTHING in dashboard:
That has the odor of a Javascript problem. Do you have the latest version of Java?
-
Bad, bad, bad. I want the old one back. What’s that old saying, ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.
-
@infolution log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, close and reopen your browser and try again. An please post a question in only one thread, I’m chasing you around answering the same thing in multiple threads.
-
I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THE ORIGINAL….
and no my javascript is fine, i have the new version and everything… this problem occured when i was working on this ‘new’ dashboard! i agree hoopscoach, if it aint broke.. leave it alone! thesacredpath, i run windows XP i dont want to mess with anything and i tried looking for the cookie/cache folder i cannot find it.

I KNOW!!! I cam here just to start a similar thread. It is not sooting and it hurts my eyes too! I had just figured out how to do some things and not those buttons have moved. ex- my drafts no longer appear listed above where I write so I can choose one…instead there is a TEENY tiny button hidden on the bottom right hand corner that I have to click on and THEN choose on. no likey. ALSO, and this is a big one, I can’t edit comments now in the COMMENTS section…I have to go to the comment on my blog to edit it. That wastes a LOT of time! Hey wordpress, can you add the edit button back please?
I think the new layout is harder to navigate and not as intuitive. -

I thought something was messed up on my computer that made the dashboard change. So, is this the new image for it? I believe some of the options are gone (like presentation) and it looks shifted and I keep thinking I’m missing half the page (I keep looking for a scroll at the bottom to try and see the rest of it)
-
dustry – presentation is still there but now it’s called Design. Click on it and you’ll be on familiar territory.
