Why did it change? Why didn’t they warn us? I thought I had been hit by some horrid virus and now find out – it was done on purpose. I hate it. I can’t find my blogroll – it isnt intuitive… ugh!

I like it.. I find it’s a lot better organized. Links are links, and there isn’t a random Blogroll tab out of nowhere. I can see everything I want about my blog right away, and on switching the colours back to classic, it seems perfectly appealing to me. Give it a chance before you bash it, take at least a few days to try it out.

HORRIBLE. Agree. MESS. Not half so ‘user friendly’ – and half the stuff doesn’t work, inserts don’t work, type categories don’t work, widgets on templates incomprehensible. MESS. PLEASE ‘go back’ before you lose the special ‘thing’ that you really do have … Best, C

I don’t know what to tell you then since I can open my published posts and edit the with no problem.
It looks like you are on FF, what version are you on?
Support is open the whole weekend, you can contact them and perhaps they can help.
Include lots of detail such as operating system, browser and version, and describe exactly the steps you are going through to try and edit and save a post.

Actually, I like the new one better. I’m more used to the old interface, but the new one better displays information and simplifies things.

Right now I’m just not familiar with how everything is laid out, but I’m sure I’ll get use to it. I am new to WordPress and was just getting use to the old dashboard, but I did find things about it to be confusing or redundant. Maybe this new dashboard will be better after I figure out where everything is.

Who the hell came up with the dashboard design? This is the reason that I’m NOT on myspace. I can’t handle the look of a COMPLETELY disorganized look. It’s all left oriented, so there’s 2 inches of blank white space on the right; plus, the design looks like you handed over the tools to a web designer who had never used html before and said, do whatever you want . . .
What was wrong with the old, LOGICAL way of organizing things???

Yuck, yuck and yuck again! Where is my check spelling feature? Where is the ease of using tabs? Why did it have to change when there was nothing wrong with it? And I fully agree with the others – if it has to be this way then give us an option to still use the old one. There was nothing wrong with the older one, and unlike improvements on sites like Yahoo and Google where I jump on the beta band wagon and love it all the way, this is absolutely not an improvement.

I’d almost be willing to upgrade if you were to give us the option of having the old way back.
God, even blogger’s dashboard is more logical than this. And that’s what made wordpress so appealing . . . the friggin’ logic!!!

Personally, the layout appears cleaner, more organized and logically laid out. The new dashboard retained most of its original features with some new ones containing more details. It takes some time getting used to the current look and other inconveniences. This is another reason why I signed up with WordPress.com, which makes blogging easier and more versatile for me than Blogger and Yahoo! 360 combined.

Why the hell is it left-oriented!?? I’m not moving my screen over to the right just because they can’t figure out how to center the information!!!

The dashboard goes completely blank after a second in both Firefox 2.0.0.2 and Safari 3.1. I’d prefer not to have to download a Microsoft virus to tell if it fails in all major browsers.

1) I can’t get my videos to upload properly
2) If there’s a “Save and Continue editing” button, I can’t find it
3) My drafts are no longer listed above a new post, which was very convenient since I tend to work on multiple posts at once
4) my gallery of uploaded images is erasedI have yet to find one improvement in this new design.

Seriously, I can’t seem to upload any vids properly.
I’ve been trying to upload a YouTube video and when I send the url to editor it only shows part of the path and links to youtube without actually showing the vid on the post. -
