The new editing system

  I understand that this is not the right medium in which to register a complaint with WordPress, but I don’t know how else to go. The new editing system is a disaster for me. Every time I edit something and then preview it, if there is a video link embedded (so that an image of the video itself will appear), somehow code is added so that in the final product the video image no longer appears, just the code instead. I hope WordPress is planning to keep “Classic Editor” available forever because this problem does not come up in that method.

  Hey Jax,

  I understand your frustration. Our developers are working tirelessly to iron out the issues with the new editor. I’m glad that you’re able to utilize the Classic editor in the meantime.

  Once all the bugs are fixed, I’m not entirely certain if the new editor will eventually entirely replace the Classic version, although all user input is being taken into consideration.

  I’ll make sure to keep an eye out for a resolution to your video embed issue.
