The new editor sucks.

    The new editor sucks. It isn’t more intuitive, it requires more mouse clicks to open common functions, I hate it, and I want the option to use the old editor as a default setting where I never even have to SEE the new editor, because again, this new editor blows chunks. No one wants the new editor, which is why you’re having to write huge sets of instructions trying to con people into using it. Blogging is BY DEFINITION a basic writing task where you QUICKLY slap in a couple images or a video, and MOVE ON with your day. It is not full web coding, nor does it need to be ‘simplified’ by making it more complex. Just LEAVE IT ALONE. You HAD the precise formula required already. You could’ve simply just RESTED on your damn laurels and let things be. This was a monumentally stupid choice.

    It sounds like you’re having several issues, so please focus on the most pressing issue first and include specifics on what you’re clicking, what happened, etc. You can also create one thread for each issue. Just be sure to include details that will let us help.

    Regarding nobody liking the editor: you’ll generally not see positive feedback in the support forums, but many of our users really do like it. Weirdly enough, I’ve even personally had friends call me up to say they love it. There IS a learning curve for some who have been using classic wp-admin only. There are preferences you can set, too, that may improve your experience. And there are some features I’d like to see refined. All of us want the editor to be a smooth experience, so please do tell us specifically what issues you are running into so we can surface those and work on making it better.
