The new WordPress.com editor for paying customers breaks URL editing on a Mac

Out of the blue a new WordPress.com editor was enabled for my payed account.

On a Mac (which is my main system) I cannot edit URLs any more with the keyboard.

The keyboard shortcut Shift-Command-A now performs select all (like Command-A already does).

I’m limited to keyboard access because of RSI, so this is a very bad move on your part.

    Please fix ASAP.

    Hi there!

Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. This editor is actually enabled for all account on WordPress.com, but you can now access the old editor from a banner link across the top of the new on.

I’d love to pass on any other feedback you had about your experiences with the new editor.

    Hello again!

I’m trying to replicate the issue you’re having with your keyboard shortcut. I can’t seem to get Shift+Command+A to do anything special even in the classic editor.

Do you have special systems settings? Can you tell me more about what this keyboard shortcut should do?
